the short version: Shway is a daily Arabic learning app. use it for your own learning, pay for Plus through your app store if you want it, and don't resell our cards. that's most of it. the details follow.
what shway is
Shway teaches Gulf Arabic one word a day, from real podcast audio, with spaced review. you don't need an account. by downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.
shway plus
some features are part of Shway Plus, an auto-renewing subscription.
- billing is handled by the App Store or Google Play, not by us. the price is shown at the point of purchase, before you confirm.
- the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
- you can cancel any time in your store's subscription settings (App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Google Play: Payments & subscriptions). cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the current period ends.
- refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their policies.
your license to the content
the cards, audio clips, images, and everything else in the app are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. learn from them as much as you like. don't redistribute, resell, scrape, or repackage them.
no warranty
Shway is provided "as is". we work hard on quality, and fixing what you hit is the whole operating model, but we can't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every translation is perfect. content and features may change as the app grows.
limitation of liability
to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Shway. our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country that cannot be waived.
changes to these terms
if these terms change, the "last updated" date at the top changes too. material changes are announced in the app's "what's new" notes. continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
